I am an art and landscape photographer working with both digital and analogue processes. My practice explores the tension between the banal and the sublime: ordinary places and overlooked details set against traditions of romanticism in landscape.
I am not interested in making conventionally “pretty” pictures.
Instead, I aim to create work that is questioning, restrained, and attentive to how we see and more importantly value our surroundings.
Returning to photography in my spare time has sharpened my sense of observation and discipline, while keeping my creative practice rooted in the real.
